Global Mail Group Job Scam Mail Assistant

So here's an interesting job scam sent in from one of our readers. It's offering an independent contractor position in the U.S. for a Mail Assistant where you supposedly use your own mailing address to receive client envelopes that you forward to another client.

That's enough to be suspicious of the job offer in the first place. But for some reason this particular company prides itself on having mail forwarded to you that will be forwarded back to somewhere else. What reason do they give for wanting to do this? Why...of course it's to offer you a job and supposedly because it's cheaper for this scam to send you the mail and have you re-mail it back out to clients so they save postage and you make money. And you get a lucrative $20.00 for each one.

I was corresponding with our reader and I really am not sure what information is gained by sending out these letters to others. I assume there is something to be had by this scam but I would almost seriously doubt anyone gets paid by PayPal for this. I think the person who applies for the job gets taken before any "pay" is given out for the work completed.

So I will throw this out there to my readers who are a great source of information. Have you encountered this scam before? What is involved here? What do the scammers get from this?

Worthy of note because I'm sure scammers read this blog as well is the information when you go to the URL of The address resolves to which supposedly is set up to offer a way to convince people that want to find out more about the company that it is legitimate. But the contact information in the website is only a phone number of +44 8715283819 which isn't even based in the United States...and quite possibly isn't legitimate. No email address on this contact management mailing address in the website.

Just fluffy descriptions of the company that are supposedly set to instill confidence in your choice of this company for fake employment.

By the way, also here's the whois information off the account. The domain registration and address in Minneapolis, MN is enough to say it's a scam. I mean really..."Thrift Auto Parts" at "469 Haul Road, Minneapolis, MN". How original is that...and not to mention if you google that address or that company name it's no where to be found in Minneapolis, MN. Nor a phone number or anything that ever shows for the fake address of "469 Haul Road".

So again my readers...what do you think? Mind you comment moderation is turned on and it's a holiday today but I'll post pros and cons related to this posting. Unless it's patently offensive with attacks upon other posters who comment or if you use a lot of colorful metaphors.

So here's the whois: Registry Whois

Wanita Chong Purchasing Specialist Fake Job

And just this morning I received another email on a job scam from someone going by the name of "Wanita Chong" with an email address of The email address is enough to know it's a scam but when you read about the amazing salary for no experience, no travel and no just reads as a classic scam. But let's see what non-existent job details she sent us:

Good Day
A growing global distributor is directly seeking Purchasing Specialist to obtain the mentioned position and join their well established team.

Career Sector: Management
No relocation is essential. They are employing employees to become the organization representative from your particular location.

About the Position: Obligations will include research of new customers, mutual fund analysis, and general administrative duties throughout the direction. This post will be responsible for managing the process of collaborating with business concerned parties; responsible for perfect customer service to existing holders and potential customers also. The job is an intrinsic part of company operations by ensuring that proper equipment are available through gathering information about products' types, bids, and vendors. You will direct the accounts reimbursement and items shipping procedure; audit packing notes.

The company proposes:
- Base Pay: $54,600.00-70,400.00 plus corresponding with experience
- Full and Part time positions, Work from Home positions
- Base compensation once in 2 weeks plus pay-off
- No traveling is required
- No relocation is required

As a company's representative, you must be equally professional with supplier negotiations as you are with data analysis. You might work well severally and as part of a team. You must also hold excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to productively manage and motivate employees; ability to read and fully comprehend project documentation and more....

The job is available for U.S. Citizens only. All interested persons must be over 21 years of age.

To find more should respond back to this letter. We are glad to hear from committed individuals with proven experience in sales or marketing and ready to offer a excellent development program for the right applicant.
Besides the noticeable language differences, it just reads like a you a belief you'd direct the "accounts reimbursement "(cashing fake checks and wiring the money elsewhere almost immediately) and  "items shipping procedure; audit packing notes" (you ship packages to other areas using a stolen credit card information so the FBI comes to get you not this company). She or he or it makes a somewhat convincing run for the position by giving you an amazingly high starting salary with the ability to work full or part-time...and no traveling or relocation is required. And I really enjoy the final two sentences, "To find more should respond back to this letter. We are glad to hear from committed individuals with proven experience in sales or marketing and ready to offer a excellent development program for the right applicant."

I grow tired of these job scams but if this helps one person from being taken on a job scam sending who knows what information out there to these fake job originators, I've done my job. Have a good weekend everyone!!

Part Time FSO Miss Harris Information Technology Job Scam

Hi everyone...thanks for stopping by. I sincerely appreciate any feedback or comments you may have regarding job scams. I do my best to personally respond to messages that come in and also use job scams others receive by email.

Today's entry comes from a reader I'll call "Mary". I am not using her real name nor her email address to protect her privacy. However the rest of the information is accurate and verbatim as the scam itself. Apparently the job scammers out there are getting a little smarter by using abbreviations for job titles like as shown below for a FSO. And also, I guess they use these email replies as "" which is also quite a departure from the usual randomness of the email names.

But here without further wait...below is an email from "Mary" about a job for something. I'm still not sure what a FSO is...but it is a job scam.
