A few comments if I may...

I wonder why you must be over 21 years of age. I think if you can fall for a scam you can do that at even as young as 16 years of age.

I really do like the quote, "We are keen to hear from talented individuals with proven experience in sales or marketing and ready to offer a brilliant development program for the right candidate."

If it was a real job it sounds very interested and in line with my experience. But sadly it's not.

What do you think?

P.S. I still monitor posts because of spam I approve posts even if I don't agree with the content. If you attack me personally more than likely I won't post your snarky behavior because I don't see the point.

Have a good week and weekend coming up!!

It's me again...isn't it funny the scammers have to include a NB note at the very end of the stupid fake job message to let us concerned about emailing the scammer's email of Mary.Stevens28@gmail.com to know they are "attempting to cut off the overflow of unsolicited emails delivered our company's emails by using a personal mailbox for initial communication. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience."

How funny is that...so this person decided they don't want to actually show a domain for the company because they want to supposedly cut off the overflow of unsolicited emails delivered.

Huh?

Made me scratch my head on this one...stay far away from this job scam. It isn't a real job and only serves for you to pass along all your personal information for the scammers delight and future abuse.

Family Meds Solution PLC Job Scam Sherry Stephens

One of my readers of the blog sent me the following job scam

Below is the email:

Having seen your resume I would like to offer you a position with our
company. My name is Sherry Stephens and I am the International Human
Resource Manager of Familymeds Solution PLC. I am pleased to inform you that
we have an open position for you within our company.
Our company was founded in 1982 and it has quickly grown to be one of the
largest resellers in United Kingdom of medical equipment and apparatus as we
as in the rest of Europe. We have contracts exclusively with hospitals and
other medical companies and groups supplying several hundred types of
products ranging from surgical needles and syringes to MRI and EKG machines
and everything in between. Our partners include top manufacturers around the
world such as GE Healthcare, Medtronic, Baxter International, Tyco
Healthcare, Philips Medical Systems, Cardinal Health, Siemens Medical
Solutions, Zimmer Holdings, et cetera. Our company has grown very fast
during the last few years and now we have expanded our market and business
to the United States. As such we have a high demand in terms of job openings
in almost every state and we are looking for dedicated and hardworking
individuals to work for us and help us expand.
Our success is due to the fact that we are able to meet our customer's
demands in every shape or form and at any time. We are very flexible and we
can honor our orders when others cannot. Very fast delivery system combined
with the fact that we accept almost any type of payment and great customer
support are the reasons why we have been able to grow so fast and took us to
where we are today. We take great pride in what we do because it is not
always easy to satisfy all customer demands while still processing the
orders very fast and receiving payments for the products in a timely manner.
We need you to work for us and below you will find the job description and
what will be asked of you should you decide to accept our proposal.
Job description:

* NO SALES INVOLVED! Very limited contact: you will not be involved in
any kind of sales or contact with our customers;
* Zero fees policy: while performing this job you will encounter no
fees to be paid in advance whatsoever;
* Respect privacy: no employee from our company will ever ask you for
any sensitive information;
* Total transparency: everything you will do is legal under the
European Union/United States and International laws as they are currently
applied.

Your duties are:

* To receive payments from our customers which are mainly in form of
checks (only U.S. emitted checks, no international checks will be sent to
you; All check will be written in your name);
* Cashing the checks using your existing bank account; do not use
checks-cashing stores, they charge too much, sometimes even 10% of the total
value of the checks
* Forwarding as'' money in minutes'' by Western Union, we will pay all
money transfer fees after you will deduct your 10% commission from each
order you process.

Your benefits are:

* Commissions: 10% from each check your will process in the first
month.
* Salary: within one month after receiving the first check you will
receive $1,000 as fixed salary.

This is a commission based job, the faster you process orders the more your
income will increase. This bonus is given to also cover internet, phone or
gas bills. Please note that this salary will be sent after 30 days have
passed since you received your first payment to process.

* Rewards for good performance: after two months of working for us an
increase to 15% commission from all payments might be applied to your
contract if you process and send all the transfers to us in a timely manner.
In this case you will be earning around $1,200-1,300 per week as well as the
$1,000 salary at the end of the month.

* Education reimburse

* Vacation (2 weeks for Exempt employees)
* 4 paid Company Holidays / 2 paid floating holidays
* Large and stable corporation

There are also bonuses for cashing the checks and sending the payment to us
very fast:

* Cash the check same day: $150 for each check;
* Cash the check within 24 hours: $100 for each check;
* Cash the check within 48 hours: $ 50 for each check.

The $1,000 salary will be sent to you in form of a cashier check.

The job opening is that of a Representative within the US. The today's
situation on the financial market requires us to open and fill several of
these job positions within our company. This opening will help our company
to reduce the time it takes to receive funding from orders that we receive
each month and we offer you one of the highest incomes on the market today
and the minimal expenditures of time.

With the number of orders we have we cannot put them on hold for fear of
losing our customers, secondly we cannot cash these payments from the US
soon enough, as international checks take about 28 working days to cash
anywhere in Europe. We lose a lot of time and money each month because we
have money transfer delays. Our clients could pay us where we want by
sending checks to an US address. What we need you to do is to provide us an
address where you can receive our customer checks. We need someone who can
receive the money through this method of payment. Regarding the check
process all you have to do is to receive the checks our customers will send
to your address, take them to your bank, cash them and send the remainder
amount to us after deducting all fees incurred and your commission. You will
always take your commission upfront. All fees for transferring the funds
will be supported from our share. Bonuses will apply for cashing checks
within 24 hours upon receiving a check.

We make direct contact for sales of products. Once orders are received and
processed we deliver the product to our customer (usually through USPS). The
customer receives and checks the product and proceeds to send the payment.
We accept all forms of payment but most of our customers pay using Bank
Checks and so to solve this problem and not lose any of our customers we
have decided to open this new job position. This job is legal according to
the U.S. legislation as it is today. Local money transfers take but a few
hours, so it will give us a possibility to get customer's payment almost
immediately.

PAYMENT AND SALARY:

For example you receive a check as payment for 3000.00 USD, you deduct your
commission (10%): 300.00 USD and then send to us the balance: 2700.00 USD.
In the first month you will receive around 15-20 orders under 3,000.00 USD
to process and after checking your performance records during that first
month the orders you will receive, may increase from 3,000.00 upwards to
6,000.00 USD. For example 20 transactions each around 3000.00 USD gives you
a total income of 6,000.00 USD per month and after establishing a close
co-operation with us you'll be able to operate with larger orders and you'll
be able to earn more. You will also deduct fees that are related to this job
(gasoline, western union fees, bank commissions, etc.) from our balance, not
from your commissions. At first the checks you will receive will vary from:
$500.00 to $3,000.00. We will also send you a 1099 Form for tax deduction on
your part. Our payments will be issued out in your name and you can have
them cashed in your existing bank account, we don't accept newly created
bank accounts because it slows the cashing process. Deduct your percentage
and forward the balance to the company attorney manager via a western union
money transfer, the name will be given to you later after cashing a payment.
This job takes only 3-7 hours per week. You'll have a lot of free time for
taking up another job; you'll get good income and a regular job. This job is
very challenging and you should understand it. We are looking only for the
employee who satisfies our requirements and will be an earnest assistant.

We have health insurance and the 401K retirement savings plan as well as all
the other standard benefits that a major company usually provides.
Unfortunately we can only start talking about this after the first month has
passed since you're working for us. We consider the first month as a trial
period. In any case you do not have to pay for anything in advance; there
are no hidden costs for performing this job. Any fee you might encounter
will be deducted from our share of the funds before you send it to us.

You will receive next instructions step by step.

Unfortunately we cannot setup any interviews now, as we do not have any
representatives in US. We will be able to come to meet within the next few
months when the new offices will be opened in your area!

Please let me know if you are still interested. Within 24 hours after we
will receive this information we will forward you a copy of the contract you
have to fill in, sign and e-mail back to us.

More On Collins Group Ltd Michael Wenz Job Scam

I've researched and found out more on the Collins Group Ltd Michael Wenz Job Scam. You'd be interested to know, thanks to a comment from a reader on the earlier blog, this company has a website you can visit by going to http://www.collins-ltdusa.cc/.

I looked over the website myself and found the writing to be very good for a scam of a company and job opportunity. I did want to go to the contact us part of the company website to check on the phone numbers listed for contacting this fake company.

You can click on any pictures below to make them larger:

The Collins website lists the company under contacts as located in Troy, New York.

Specially if you look at the image above you will see the address of the company as 120 Defreest, Troy, New York, 12180.

The company contact telephone number is shown above as well as 315-889-8099. The fax machine shows to be at a completely different area code than the company at fax number, 585-410-6049.

I decided to go to my source for reverse look ups on telephone numbers by visiting http://www.411.com/. When you type in the contact number for the company with the area code and number as below, you get a surprising result:

Notice the 411.com website shows this telephone number to belong to a location in Union Springs, New York as we see above. When you go to google maps, and map the distance between Union Springs, New York and Troy, New York, you will see it's a distance of over 170 to 190 miles away from each other.

In my opinion, an exchange from Union Springs, New York would not be a valid exchange to be utilized in Troy, New York unless it is not really at either location. I used to work in telecommunications and long distance in a prior position and I firmly believe the address for this company posted is not valid nor is the telephone number, though likely reliable to call the company as without fraud intentions.

And here's what Intellus had to say as well for this telephone number as the office number. I don't believe either company has made a mistake with this telephone number.

If that is not enough proof, google the fax telephone number for this company, 585-410-6049. You will see the results like below:

Notice even this month on the two links you can pull up on google by searching for the fax number below to two different supposedly fraudulent companies, one known as Behance Network and the other SEVG Ltd.

You can go and click on the links from google to read up on it more. Those scams and the same companies that are scams using the same fax numbers for supposedly different business practices are the main reason I'd not walk, but RUN far away from this company and whatever scam it is trying to operate.

Be careful everyone...this one REEKS of a scam for sure...not doubt in my mind? How about you?

P.S. Call it coincidence or not...but the company Collins Group Ltd for Michael Wenz also has the address of 120 Defreest and if you google that address, there's another Collins Company that appears to sell ink and it lists a distributor as ASMARC located in the same physical address as this fake Collins Group company.

I've placed the image below:

I've sent the Collins Ink company an email to ask if they are related to this fake Collins company shown on their website. I would welcome others to do this as well. I don't think this job is for real at all!!

Collins Group Ltd Michael Wenz Job Scam

I just received the email below regarding a job with the Collins Group Ltd company which as all the others I document...reeks of a scam. The return address for the person is a Michael Wenz. The funny thing, the reply to for this fake job opportunity is Michael Wenz which is strange. The scammer can't even spell employment correctly. They list the email as wenz.employement@gmail.com....the usual give a way that the job is a scam and people don't know how to spell and don't bother to list a website, contact telephone number or any information vital to me or you as a jobseeker about what the company is all about.

I do notice they want my telephone number...I wonder if they want to call me to wrap me into this job they think I'm such a good match for by talking with me and obtaining more information or what. I might bait them and see where this one takes us...but lately it appears just like all the others...a fake job and anyone who contacts them takes valuable private information and puts it in their hands for scams or fraud or who knows what else can be done with it. Below is the verbatim email:

The language indicates this job is a scam. The location indicates this is a scam. The domain registrar that does not respond to emails at info@ewtradingsa.net indicates it is a scam. The country of origin for this company is not listed on the domain registration which indicates it is a scam. The website that is supposedly set up for this company under http://www.ewtradingsa.net/ is under construction which makes me strongly believe it is a scam.

The salary is way too high for the position and it's so generic in a description of the job opportunity it can only be a scam

The job description says, "This is a logistics assistant job which includes the
purchasing goods, stuffs and equipment for company's individual customers."

This involves money laundering or you receiving a fake check that is bogus where you purchase merchandise, ship it out, then wire money to another person by Western Union and supposedly keep some money for your own use.

None of it rings true to anything but a scam.

Stay away from this one...far far away!!

Mercet Group Job Scam Tanya Jones Profit Monitoring Agent

Well, here's yet another one that just came in...as a job scam from a company called Mercet Group. The email came from someone by the name of Tanya Jones at email address of jose_lopez0846@yahoo.com but when you reply to the email a copy goes to this email address and one to hr@mercet.net that would give an impression of the validity of the company. But it's a scam. I'm going to pretend like I don't know any better to release all sorts of personal and private information to them to obtain information on the company. It looks like it is just another company that wants you to handle payment processing which should immediately throw up a red flag of fraud. Anyone else get this email?

P.S. I still very much resent Monster.com sharing or not having any accountability to those scammers who may have accessed my resume before I removed it several months ago. It is a company like Monster.com that should take care of their customers better...not sell out to scammers. But anyway...

Below is the verbatim email:

BDL International Job Scam Additional Information

Here's some additional information related to my research on the scam of BDL International and the scam itself. A reader emailed me to inquire why I felt the job was a scam. And I do fully admit in an earlier post, I didn't give a lot of information on why I felt this job was a scam.

Below is my email back to him I sent last night:

Thank you for your email back. I admit I should give additional information on why I believe certain emails are a scam and I will try to show that to you in my email back to you. I personally do not want to actually pursue something that sounds unbelievably fake to me. Here are some reasons I believe this job to not be truthful.

(1) The job description is not clear nor precise. It is very generic.

(2) Attempts to email them for a telephone number, website or any other additional information regarding the company were not returned. I stated to them I felt this was not a legitimate job and I wanted to give the company an opportunity to give something that would help me to know the company was legitimate. The company only responded for me to provide them with my name, social security number, address, work address, home telephone number, cell telephone number, and work history and current employer.

(3) This company says they "selected" my CV even though I do not have any resume online for review by anybody.

If you go to the online tool, www.whoisnet, you can type in the last part of the domain name for the email they give to respond to them on the job description which is hiring@bdl-careers.com. Just enter bdl-careers.com under the whois to find out who owns the domain.

You can copy and paste the URL below if you want to see it:

http://www.whois.net/whois/bdl-careers.com

You will see the information below:

A lot of this information is not relevant but it does show a name of the person who supposedly registered this domain as a William Viveiros. His address on the registration is listed as 279 Lodgeville Road, Minneapolis, MN 55415. I tried to find this address in google maps and the service told me the address could not be found. Then I tried just Lodgeville Road, Minneapolis, MN and still found no results. I then googled the physical address on www.google.com to see if there was any relevant information about this address showing in Minneapolis, MN but I could find nothing. Then I went to Mapquest.com and tried the same thing thinking perhaps maybe google maps just didn't have it. I experienced the same thing when searching in the same manner under Mapquest. I also tried using yahoo maps and it could not find the address either.

I also emailed to the owner of the domain, William Viveiros using the email address he provided in the registration as WilliamSViveiros@vivious.net for www.bdl-careers.com telling him I wanted to validate the company and he showed as the person who registered it. I asked him if he had names or telephone numbers he could provide to me so I could call the company to ask additional questions of the position.

I received nothing back from this individual.

I guess I could call that individual since his cell phone number is listed on the registration of that domain. But I also don't want to call him and give him a cell phone number of mine either.

These reasons give me cause to believe the company is non existent and the job is a scam to obtain personal information from you to commit fraud. With a social security number, name and address, I know fraud could happen and probably pretty easily.

I don't believe there is any government agency that investigates companies that appear to be fraudulent. For one reason, the company location itself is never mentioned in the original email. I rely only a strong internal belief from this emails to know they are not reputable companies. If I had the energy I could probably investigate it further but I really don't want to risk my exposure to fraud to prove beyond any doubt the company is fraud.

And I do agree with you, I hear others write and say it is a fraud but nobody actually has posted they've been defrauded by the company. I can't answer why nobody has volunteered that information either.

I hope this helps a bit. It's not my intent to ruin the good standings of companies offering legitimate employment. But usually with job offers that are so generic with job descriptions and where you can't obtain any information whatsoever on the company when you email them back, or the email addresses change on what they send to others that volunteer it on my blog, I can't just praise a job that doesn't appear to be a job whatsoever.

Wouldn't you think a legitimate company would be more than willing to share information about themselves to someone?

Please let me know your thoughts.

A very nice reader by the name of Michelle volunteered some additional information regarding scams on her experience with Craigslist positions in Corpus Christi, Texas. Below is what she emailed to me recently:

Hello,

I have been looking for on employment on Craigslist in the Corpus Christi TX area, and have been sending resumes to these so called scammers. Here are a few that have responded to me, and I did speak with a person on Yahoo messenger who had hired me, but after researching it
that position was also a scam. It seems they all want to clean their money. It's amazing how many are out there on craigslist. Please post them if you wish.

2. kallmamiller@aol.com

Hello Michelle,

Thanks for your interests in the position, I will deeply appreciate all genuine efforts to help me monitor and keep up to date with all my activities.I have had a previous Personal Assistant(Book keeping/Accountant) who has been very commendable in Her activities and who has been part of my life for the past 6 months, she has since returned to her country. I sincerely hope I will be able to find someone again who will be as efficient as she has been..

I'm Kallma Miller, 41 years old, originally from Queensland Australia, but I have spent my whole life here in United State. I'm a lawyer by profession and I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in, from the Angel Investment Network in Canada and United State to various welfare and community service programs, I'm most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities.

As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include;

*Running personal errands, supervisions and monitorings..
*Scheduling programmes, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I'm away.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
*Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities.
Basic wage is $400 a weekly....

I'm currently in the Australia now for a summit and would be back to the state in about 2 weeks, however, I do have a number of things you could help me with next week if you will be available for me. This can act as a stable foundation to our working relationship.

Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibilty means that there will be busier weeks than others, so it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week.If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side..

As I have said, I'd want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with, I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.

Permit me to use the coming week to test your efficiency and diligence towards all this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine. I really need to find the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenge and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us. I'd want us to meet up on AOL chat as soon as possible so we can discuss this extensively, moreso it's easier for me to convey informations once i'm online. My AOL ID is the same as my e-mail address It may be a little difficult working out the time difference between us initially, with time however, we should get used to it....I'm online most of the time when I'm not out or in a meeting so we should be able to have a chat sooner than you think. Do try to keep a date.I am glad you are willing to work with me and i promise to be a good boss.I am also glad on the commitment in working.I have been checking my files and what i would want you to do for me next week is to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home,I do that every month .The funds will be in form of cashiers check or Money Order and it will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some list to email you once you received the funds,You will make some arrangements by buying some stuff for the kids in the nearest store arround you so you can mail them out..

I will get you more information on that,I will like you to get back to me with your Contact Details such as:

Full Name:
Full Contact Address:{ Not P.O. Box }
City:
State:
Zip code:
Cell Phone Number:
Age:
Email:

Once i receive your contact information i will get back to you with the task for this week,Understand you will also be paid as well as its important for me to make the necessary steps before i get to the state. Hope i am clear with that.. Get back as soon asap.

Regards

Kallma Miller.

Darnell Brown Finance Co-ordinator Book-keeper Job Scam

I keep receiving these official type emails of job offers that are scams directly to my inbox as opposed to them arriving at my spam folder or junk mail folder using Outlook. So in a way, they would appear to be more legitimate but they are still a far cry from being legitimate.

Below is the verbatim email from an alleged "Darnell Brown":

Dear Xxxxxx Xxxxxx!

We invite you to work in our company

Personality is the prior policy in our HRM (human resource management). We really estimate personal abilities, self-confidence and willingness to have
a stable and worthy income rather than all kinds of diplomas and certificates.

Our company needs immediate opening for a part-time book-keeper/Finance Co-ordinator to join our team,

You do not need to have an office & this certainly wont disturb any form of work you have going on at the moment.

We need Responsible, Legitimate & Trustworthy Persons to work as FINANCE CO-ORDINATOR to assist us in processing & handling payments

Salary range is $500 - $3,000 per week, depending on individual abilities and willingness to work

Minimum $500 guaranteed salary (not dependent on volume of transactions).

Olga Polyakova Decemi Soft Paypal Payments Processor Job Scam

Here's an interesting set of emails for fraud to help you separate yourself from your good money. Below is an actual verbatim email I received offering me a job:

Hello.
Our company Decemi Soft is pleased to offer you a well-paid part-time job. Your personal information has been reviewed.

If you are interested, please reply.

Regards

So I replied. I really want a job and with something this specific, it was worthy of inquiring because I just knew this had to be the job for me. Here's what I sent back to the scammer:

I am very interested. Can you send me more information? I'm happy you are interested. Work has been tough to find lately and since you've reviewed my information I would be happy to talk with you more on a part time job.

And here's when the typical scam information starts...leading you on with amazing monetary salaries and few hours per week for the efforts. I certainly admire the scammers for being quite wordy to make the potential job offer appear legitimate when it really isn't. Below is the actual email back:

Hello Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

I’m very glad that you are interested in our proposal. Let me explain what we offer step-by-step:

My name Olga Polyakova, I am a manager of Ukrainian software-development company Decemi Soft. If you want to find more information about our company and products, please visit our official web-site: www.decemi.com

Currently, we are processing online payments by merchant account, but some of our clients want to make payments via PayPal. In Ukraine, PayPal works only for sending money, so we have no chance to receive and withdraw money.

We've decided to use exchange service for PayPal payments, but there are some troubles (high fees per transaction and payment clearance for 7-14 days).

So, we are looking for a partner in US, who can help us with processing paypal payments. The cooperation process will be based on 3 steps:

- Our client sends payment to your PayPal account;

- You receive payment;

- You send money to our company (at this time we looking for best way to do it, I think it will be wire transfer, but I’m not sure yet)

Your salary will depend on amount of PayPal transfers you'll manage to process. You will earn 500$ per month plus 5% from each transaction.

500$ you will deduct from one of the payments after each working month, working month starts when you get your first payment, 5% you will deduct from each payment, right after you get it.

PayPal and all other fees will be covered by our company.

Based on our practice, there are 3-4 payments per week. Each payment is about $399 - $3000.

So you will earn about $1000-2000 for the first month.

No private information required from you. Only contact information, and information for PayPal payments.

As you see it is really simple job, if you decide to work with us please mail me next info:

Your full name:

Your PayPal email: (for payments from our clients, your Paypal account must be Premier or Business, have Verified status, with lifted withdrawal limit)

Your contact email: (for best connection with you)

Your phone number: (for urgent contacts only)

If you have not paypal account, but still interested with this job, please mail me, and i will send you instruction how to open a new one and operate with it. It's simple process and absolutely free.

If you still need any other information about our company and this job, or any other question be free to ask me.

You also can contact me by phone, +38 (044)59-94-533, but it is preferred for me to contact by this mail, as my speaking English is very poor, I wrote this message with help of dictionary, speak with help of dictionary will be much complex)

Waiting for your respond.

I wrote back explaining I only had major credit cards and I wasn't sure what Paypal was and for more information. We'll see how long I can lead them on...anyone have any good responses at this point to string the scammer along or should I just end it at this point until my next fraudulent email.
