Convergentcare.com Email Scam...Anyone Seen This??

One of my readers, I'll call her Susan" emailed me recently to ask a question regarding a strange email she received. I have changed the account number below to protect her identity. I've never seen an email scam like this so I'm throwing this out to the group to see what anyone thinks. Your comments are welcomed and appreciated and to "Susan" thanks for emailing me. I apologize it took this long to post your email. Although this email doesn't relate to a job offer, it still seems fake to me. But my biggest concern is that something worse than just a generic email scam has happened to me. Like I said, I recieved this email, but have NO IDEA as to what it could be for. The email doesn't list who the provider they are billing for IS, nor does it give ANY contact info. Is this just a standard scam?? or could someone have stolen my identity and started an account somewhere in my name?? Any thoughts you could send my way would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!! Stepanie East Procurement Manager Job Scam

I just received the email below from Stepanie East and when you reply, it supposedly goes to qyEastyvSteucpanie@hotmail.com. This email address mixture is enough to know 100% this job is a scam. Notice the name she (he, it) goes by is Stepanie, not Stephanie. Funny when I typed it originally I typed in "Stephanie" and then noticed the spelling and corrected it when I updated the title. Here's a new job scam I just discovered by email recently. The interesting thing I've started doing is emailing the company back but this one came in without a reply to email address. Almost like you were blind carbon copied in the email. I don't quite get it. But it's so non descript it's almost a give a way of the scam or at least the fake job. Career Builder Fake Jobs/No Concern By Careerbuilder

Hello everyone..sorry to be missing in action again lately. So...please tell us...any job scams out of the ordinary lately? I did receive a few out of the blue emails saying my long lost relative who died in a plane crash in Africa left $20 million dollars to her husband but I'm somehow the next of kin and I just have to send $500.00 to release the entire $20 million directly to my bank account. Also, worthy of note, I've emailed Careerbuilder related to job scams and asked some pointed questions and asked for answers on why the job scams continue to show up on their website. I also provided a list of questions I'd like to have answered by the company if they are really sincerely interested in my well being as a job seeker. So far, two weeks later I haven't received an answer despite this and showing a link to my email job scams blog. Could it be that Careerbuilder just doesn't care? I'm beginning to think so. Anyone have any comments? I'll be back with more job scams shortly.

JTL Logistics Job Scam Email vacancy@jtllogisticshiring.biz

Well, in time I just received an email after posting a valid resume to what appeared to be a valid job on Careerbuilder. I get so very tired that Careerbuilder won't remove a job scam after it being flagged nor do they respond to detailed information regarding a scam and removing the fake job on their service. It's really like they do not care about job seekers being scammed. I hate to say it but I feel it's true.

Below is a verbatim job offer that is a scam I just received:

I get mad at Careerbuilder for accepting these types of jobs. There's nothing in it that makes me believe the job is legitimate. No website for a company called ISA in New York when I try to google for more information. The listing for the jobs available and careers in the background shown don't help either.

It's just a scam and in my view Careerbuilder is blatantly making money off these companies if the company actually pays Careerbuilder to post this fraud for them. I think Careerbuilder is far more concerned with any monies coming in than actually helping keep the jobs they post clean and free from scams.

Colin Anders Intermmatic Group Job Scam

Well, I've been traveling and yesterday I received yet another cash checks/wired money into your account/funds transfer job scam shown below. Notice this job scam attempts to look convincing my giving us the locations of the company under various names which are hardly a way to give legitimacy in my viewpoint. It's the same type of scam where you supposedly process payments for a company, earn a commission of the money transfers, keep a certain percent, and then when the transfer is a scam, you lose the money you've wired elsewhere.

Dalanche Operations Officer Fake Job Scam

And here's another email I just received from another company that immediately wants to hire me without an interview after simply seeing a resume that I supposedly placed online.

Below is a screen shot of the location. Notice far below the internet domain registration by a James Corey of 580 Geary Street in San Francisco. This is funny because that is the same location of a restaurant called the Millennium Restaurant in San Francisco. And to make matters even more suspect, notice the email address on the company website of www.dalanche.com. It's fake because it's going to a @usa.com email domain.

Geez. Please read on for the verbatim email I received plus the following domain look up for the actual website itself to prove why I believe it's a same without any shadow of a doubt.

The website just looks nice and clean and well written but there is no way this job or this company is legitimate.

I apologize for the break. I've been away helping with an ill family member. I found this fake job in my email box this morning from a supposed Rachelle Alicea. They supposedly for the text of the email found my resume on Careerbuilder but I've never posted it for anyone on there.

Duties of the Role:
- Track and report on vendor on-time delivery; working through any situations that could impact the business function and elevating concerns as required
- Utilize supply planning data to develop an inventory ordering cost
- Utilize analytical findings and tools to detect issues, settle problems, and support supply chain direction
- Analyzing the goods quotes and bid model to decide a total assortment cost
- Process purchase tasks and work with supply base to ensure well-timed shipping
- Manage back-up duties for other buyers

Personal minimum:
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work in fast moving environment; with limited monitoring and drive initiatives
- Ability to to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization to achieve positive results
- Ability to write standard documentation, policies and procedures
- Must have experience working for a consumer products or packaging manufacturer
- Must have working understanding of the following Business Process Areas: Product Sourcing,Contract Management, Invoicing&Supplier Connectivity, Procurement Compliance and Controls, Warehouse Management

Here's another spam/job scam email I received supposedly from Beyond.com. Beyond is another one of those job sites, in my view that offer you positions but they don't really exist. What Beyond.com really wants you to do is return to school so they can market your interest to other companies.

I wonder why you must be over 21 years of age. I think if you can fall for a scam you can do that at even as young as 16 years of age.

If it was a real job it sounds very interested and in line with my experience. But sadly it's not.

Vatra L AG Regional Executive Job Scam

Below is another job referencing to a resume found of mine on Career Builder. One immediate red flag is I don't have a resume posted on career builder. And other red flags should include the salary and the silly email addresses created for the purposes of replies to this email job scam.

The reply to the email goes to thorpebrilliant@yahoo.com, and thorpebrilliant@yahoo.com but the email states to apply using the email of vatral.ag@live.com. And while I know it's a scam, why do they do that? I've replied "with great desire to work for the company" to find out more details...so maybe we will hear back. Or anyone else please feel free to comment.

Courier Assistant Job Scam kissesoscar@yahoo.com, jagsonchelvip@gmail.com

Here's a recent email to my google email box with another fake job offer, supposedly after finding me on Career Builder of all places.

Worthy of note, when you do decide to reply, the email will go to two different email addresses, one is jagsonchelvip@gmail.com and the other is kissesoscar@yahoo.com.

Below is the email:

Good day.

Our firm U.S.A. Address & Mail Forwarding Company has found your CV in CareerBuilder database and consider you are a perfect candidate for a part time position available.

Position name is: Courier assistant

This work is not hard, your duty will be to receive package, repack and forward it further according to our instructions.

Requirements:

- Work 10-12 hours/week;
- US Citizenship
- Responsibility
- Over 18
- PC/Home office
- Work with MS Office documents
- You may combine this work in our company with your main job
- Ability to pick up packages weighing up to 25lbs.

Natalie Goldberg Manager Of Turnover

Here's a recent fake job offer that came in to my Google email box. The spoofed email address comes from Roary Wade [castillonineteenth@yahoo.com] but when you reply it goes back to both that address and cynthia_eva@hotmail.com. It's a typical job scam like we've all seen before right now. Below is the verbatim email:

Hi.

This is a request to your CV posted in CareerBuilder and we want you to try for our open position.
This is not a sales gimmick requiring you to pay setup fees or sign up to a mailing list. This is a business requiring only limited amounts of your time. You will earn money even without going out of your house or office. The job is regular and the salary is solid.

My name's Natalie Goldberg and I deal with the questions of expanding of our company Europe Mailing in the U.S.. Our company was established in 1997, the main office is located in Poland. We are working with purchasing of the goods in countries-manufacturers for its further resale in Poland and other countries. Our clients are the individuals who buy the goods at good prices. Now we are expanding and enter the American market, and we need on a remote basis hard-working and responsible employees for small and big butch deals on consignment.
