William Robinson Hatch Media Productions Job Scam

Hello,

I'm sending you our standard employment package including:
a) Employment Agreement: a document, which gives you a general notion of
your duties, guaranteed monthly salary, expenses  and other work issues;
b) Bank Account Form: a special form used for submitting your bank account
information,
c) Bank Account Regulations: a list of regulations for bank accounts that
should be and used for working with us, and
d) W-4 form: a standard form issued by the IRS and used for calculating your
income tax deductions.

In order to get started, I would need you to do the following: first, please
print out the Employment Agreement, Bank Account Form and W-4, fill them out,
then sign and send them to me by email or fax. Please put your estimated
start date on the contract, the day when you will actually be able to start
working for us, not the current date! Also, we accept physical signatures only,
no digital/printed ones. Employment Agreements without copies of IDs will NOT
be accepted.

Further, you would need a separate bank account, so that you would be able
to receive both your salary from the corporate account, and the payments from
our customers. Just to remind you: as a Project Support Manager you will be
authorized to work directly with the customers, who will be paying you on
behalf of the company. Our experience proved that customers value personal
approach most of all, thus they would prefer working with a single contact
person for the whole project cycle, rather than being bounced from one
specialist to another, with the time inevitably spent on explaining the details
that have been agreed upon with the previous manager. The company provides
copies of all contracts the customers have signed and all invoices verifying the
payments are for the company, not for you personally. This is typical for the
company and the outsourcing industry in general.

I would recommend starting with a personal checking account, as most of our
customers don't have problems with sending payments to individuals on behalf
of the company; however, later we might need you to upgrade to a
business account. If you don't mind setting a business account already,
that's more preferable; however, as most banks would require a fee of $50-100
to set it up, you can upgrade to a business account after you receive your
first fees from us, to avoid spending your own funds.

Just to remind you, your fixed base salary will be $2,800 per month, it will
be paid every 2 weeks since the start date regardless of the number of customers
you've serviced. There are also bonuses for each taken project, 3% of the total
cost of it (paid immediately). All Project Support Managers must pass the
evaluation test every 6 months; basing on the average performance statistics the
base salary can be increased by 25%. No additional software is required for you to
purchase or install, only the access to the Internet. You will be able to log
into our remote web panel, where you will manage your daily tasks, communicate
with your supervisor and submit reports.

All Project Support Managers are required to remain online during the regular working
hours, which are 9:00am to 4:30pm your local time, Monday to Friday. You will start
working under my personal supervision; I will supply you with online training materials
and customer lists, as well as answer your questions and provide additional information, if
necessary.

Once again, all information about our company and services we offer can be found on
our website: http://hatchmediapro.com
Should you have any questions, please feel free to address them to me. As I mentioned before,
this position is available immediately. Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to start working with you!

Funny thing on this company...it gives a location address of Macon, Georgia located at 348 Cotton Ave Ste 300, Macon, GA 31201. And the fake company even tries to give a convincing telephone number as a point of contact shown above. 478-238-1733. If you "google map" this company address it doesn't even exist in Macon, GA. I'm about five hours away from it where I live and I'm sorely tempted to drive by and prove that it's a scam by showing this company does not exist at this location in Macon, GA. But I now work full time and it's just not worth it to me.

I find this position more interesting than most when they say in your role as a Project Support Manager, and I quote, "you will be authorized to work directly with the customers, who will be paying you on behalf of the company. Our experience proved that customers value personal approach most of all, thus they would prefer working with a single contact person for the whole project cycle, rather than being bounced from one
specialist to another, with the time inevitably spent on explaining the details that have been agreed upon with the previous manager."

Basically the scammer appears to want you to get direct payments from some sort of people who will be paying you on behalf of the fake company. I've not applied for this job or started employment with this company but it reads like a classic scam of getting forged or fake checks and cashing them or depositing and then wiring the monies elsewhere while keeping an alleged percent of it for your commissions.

If there's further doubt the company is a sham, look no further than the "whois" on the domain registration which is copied below:

I guess that's enough on this company for now. If you have more details or experience in dealing with this company on a fake job, please feel free to post comments below. I do turn on comment moderation only to weed out spam and un-necessary topics unrelated to the actual post itself. Even if you feel this isn't a scam I'll post a comment to give equal opportunity but in my heart of hearts I know this one is a scam 100%.

I received the same e-mail and so tempted to take it. However I have been so hesitant to give out my bank information and also my social security number on the W4. I am scared they will steal money or use my account information for forgery..even use my identity since they will have my SS....it feels so good to be true..confused:(

I wish we could do more to expose these frauds!!

I was just about to go upstairs and print out all the stuff, but the part that makes me hesitate is the them needing my id info...I haven't got anything in my bank account anyway but still...I don't want to further ruin my credit.

Why can't the government here in the U.S. do more to shut down these scams?

BTW that address is a great furniture store that used to be one of our customers, if you ever do drive down to check it out ;)

I was actually dumb enough to fall for the scam. Fortunately, I tracked down the original owner before any damage was done. As I was at the bank, closing my account, they were attempting to deposit almost 5 grand. But, whne I went to the local police, I was told it's a case for the FBI. The cops wouldn't even take a report. Thank God the original owner has a handle on it in Georgia! I am now cooperating in any way possible to get these scumbags caught. Too many decent people are paying the price for trying to do the right thing, and get a job to take care of their families.
