so where is this coming from and what do they get when someone responds?

Isn't it obvious that these kinds of things are scams? Does anyone ever fall for them? I'm wondering why we're burning up electrons to post it and talk about it. If posting this serves a purpose -- if it alerts people who might be duped -- I'm all for it. I just can't imagine anyone actully responding to such an obvious ruse.

Someone fill me in.

I got the same exact email - word for word - but mine was from Lorena Ming Email: LosareuknaMloing@hotmail.com It's exactly the same email down to the letter -- just different sender, your probably right when you call it an email scam. Too bad more people won't read this post before they respond.

I just received the same email and when I tried to look up the company nothing came up.

Same email is being sent by Elanor Byler . No idea who or where the parent company is located.

I was skeptical about this as well, however I did respond asking for more information or a website that I could visit. Does this put me at risk since I opened and sent a reply message?

In my view for what it's worth the blog serves an excellent purpose to bring fake jobs to light to those who may not have the knowledge to immediately know they are scams. People in desperate situations may not see the jobs as fake and it helps to see comments from others to put new light into the job email. I am very sure people send out highly personal information in attempting to seek employment. I think if the scammers set a salary lower when giving a job description more people would get taken. You can't work part time and earn mega money per year in these fake jobs for what is described as menial work and a very super relaxed employment environment. It appears the writer emailing out this fake job kind of realizes it. Please keep posting comments everyone!! They DO help!!

I have not responded and have received two now in the past two days. Both are exactly the same but from two different senders and email addresses.

Most recent email was from a Darnell Derry.

Anonymous said...

Just got one too. Let's all reply and say "I accept your offer, when do I start?" lol

I just recieved the same exact email this morning. I had been job searching and posted a resume to a couple different websites, so recieving this email was not too far a stretch for my situation. I googled the company name and this posting was on the bottom first page of the search results. Thank you for posting this and all the comments. This is very helpful!!!

I too recieved the exact same email except for mine came from some called Vanessa Gray with the email address VansyesydeksaGray@hotmail.com.

Ok so many people have gotten this and some have responded and some have not. I think that some are going to respond especially since the economy has declined and many are looking for a job. The only difference I can tell is the senders and the amount they are willing to pay us. Maybe we all have something in common that we do not realize.. It could be anything.. That might be worth looking at as well....

Anonymous said...

Yes, I agree it is some kind of scam.

However, what I do not understand is its purpose. Namely, what is this person trying to get out of it?

I have received several such offers this year but each one slightly different each time.

It is entirely possible the person is simply playing a game with us with no intent of getting any financial gain out of it other than a sick laugh.

If that is the case, then we are dealing with a psychotic personality.

Anonymous said...

I have responded to these to see what they would say if I pretended to be extremely interested and desperate for this job. I usually ask when I could start and when we would meet in person for a formal interview.

If I get a response it is usually an email asking for all kinds of personal information, a photo ID, and verification that I am a US Citizen. What I have essentially gathered from these responses is that the job basically entails depositing fake checks, taking a cut as your payeck and sending the company their portion from your own personal bank account. By the time your bank tells you that the check is bad your personal check is already on the way and being cashed in some foriegn country.

To the poster at 11:36 a.m. highlighting the scam details you are SPOT ON!! Thanks for posting this so others can see the scam for what it is!!

Anonymous said...

I got the same from an Abigail Cone
CgyontueAbiggiail@hotmail.com. I did respond with questions such as where is the company located and the specific name of the company no response. They are phishing for suckers!!

Anonymous said...

I also received the same thing as everyone else has. I hope people like myself go to an engine search and put in the company name. If you just scroll down you find this great blog that has the exact same posts. wow, amazing technology. The old saying if it sounds to be to good to be true it's not.

I got this email from Paula Aube .

And yeah, we all probably do have something in common - We've all been applying to jobs online. Particular on the free-to-post job boards there are a lot of ads that are just bait to collect the emails of job seekers so they can be scammed.

Anonymous said...

I recieved this same exact e-mail from a Melinda Buchar. Thanks so much for posting this because some of us are desperate for jobs and have resumes on job websites. It is pathetic that someone is committing this kind of scam and praying on those looking for a job.

Anonymous said...

ummm, you guys notice that they are all "hotmails" account? if its a legit company, it would be with their company's email address.

Anonymous said...

I received the same. One other way to check the validity - grammar! There are a ridiculous amount of errors that a real company would never approve. Jobs are posted on data bases like Indeed, not emailed, especially from a Hotmail account.

Mine was from Willena Borges and it is just like everyone else posts. I'm so annoyed with these people. They didnt even get my name right.

If you ever have any doubts about a company and if it is a scam or not, type in the name of the company and enter scam after it and you'll get your answer. That's how i found this forum.

I also received the same email. Of course mine came from a different person, Karren Nardone (NefardonemyKaehrren@hotmail.com. I knew it was a scam as soon as I opened it but just to waste their time I responded with a fake resume just to see what they are trying to get me to do. I don't understand how people don't see from the beginning it is a scam. If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is! I respond sometimes but NEVER with my REAL information.

I received the same email but it was from Karren Nardone NefardonemyKaehrren@hotmail.com. I don't understand how anyone can't see that this job is a scam. If in doubt Google the name of the sender/company and usually something will come up. Just out of boredom I did send a fake resume I made just for jobs like this. Can't wait to see what kind of information they want from me. Since I've been out of work I have received many of these job offers, most are secret shoppers and want you to deposit money orders in your personal bank account but this one doesn't seem to be the case. I guess time will tell if they respond back.

Got the same email. Searched for some words in it and ended up here.

Obviously a scam, but what is the angle? Are they probing for active email addresses? Or maybe if you reply they ask for some fee or something?

I'm somewhat curious how this scam works.

Anonymous said...

I got this same letter from Rosario Eden. Does anyone know what this scam involves?

Anonymous said...

i just received one too....from Janene Janes
definetly a scam!

Anyone reply and get a response back?
No info online, nothing.

Anonymous said...

I found this useful, thank you!

Anonymous said...

I don't know what it involves, nor do I want to find out. But if you do, let me know. I'll let someone else do the spade work.

I suspect we received this spam job offer because we are/were unemployed and signed up for one of the zillion job search web sites.

I've found that these sites are not immune to scams. After all, the sites are more robotic than human in nature.

Best to ignore the post and go on with your day.

As you have probably heard, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Unfortunately, one who is unemployed and trying to find work to support home, spouse and children, is east prey for these "employers."

Anonymous said...

I have received 3 of these...wondering if it was legitimate ...I looked it up and found this site first ...thanks for the info!

Anonymous said...

Thank you so much for your clarification. I am also searching for a new job and the email seemed to good to be true (though I must admit I was initially thrilled to see a recruitment offer). Boards like this help us job seekers stay safe in such a difficult period!

I have been receiving these from time to time but i never respond because the company name and job description seems to generic. I google the name and have never found a company. A good legit company would want their name to come up on the first page during a search. My friend just forwarded me one [having that same suspicious lame hotmail address]sent to her and I sent her a warning about replying. So I checked online again and now I see it is not an isolated occurence.

What if this isnt a scam? what if the person who posted this just doesnt want other people to respond to the job position!! How do we know whats real? what says that email or job position is a scam??????

To the comment above, a non-solicited job offer like what is posted above is simply a scam. It reads just like all the other job scams that these scammers always produce to hook job seekers. It just IS NOT REAL!! What part of that can't you just see?

I received this same email from the name "Dallas Jose" and the email address to reply to was DybyvalewlasJose@hotmail.com.

I believe the post created on April 26th @ 11:35 am has provided a good idea regarding the purpose of this kind of email.

In addition to these emails attempting to accomplish what was stated in the aforementioned post, it's possible also that requests for proof of citizenship may be requested in the form of a copy of your social security card.

aaaagghh just responded to this and gave my cell number to text me more info! What should I do? Do u think I'm in any danger of them hacking my phone ? Thank goodness I Google them and found your posts!

I really don't think you have anything to worry about by just giving your cellphone number. It is much worse if you gave them your social security number or other private information. Be careful...anyone else have comments about her giving her cell phone number willing to post a comment here?

They emailed me so i knew it was a scam asking for more information you could be getting hacked do to you giving them your cellphone number if you have a smartphone.. Its easy to hack smartphones if your wifi is on and and your security level is medium or low! Dont reply it a scam job!

Well it's december and I just got one. The wording is slightly different in that now they are claiming to be "A Better Business Bureau accredited" customer service provider. I noticed that in serveral places in the email the english is a little funny which is always a give away for me. A job recruiter would not mess up terms that have to do with terms of the compensation. I looked on the web and found this site and sure enough when I clicked on the reply I noted the name of the sender went from Eilene Stroh to
that does not sound legit!

These people fish for info...do not bite!

A question for all of you who dismiss this immediately as a scam: Where is the scam? I totally agree that they sound like scams, but I haven't seen one of you offer anything more than just an opinion. What are they phishing for? What is the scam? How can you dismiss everything as a scam without any facts to back up your claims?

Keep an eye out for HD Procurement and Trading. I believe it is a scam also. I got an email the other day from holleybeverlyo@mail.com with the subject manufacturing business. I can't find any info on the the company and it seems to be similar to the other posted on this site. I e-mailed back requesting more info just to curb my curiosity. Just wanted to let everyone know there might be another one of these out there. Always do your research before applying for anything.
